Apple Macintosh
The Macintosh computer with Apple's OS-X operating system is an extraordinary performer for the office, workshop, or studio. While no computer is invulnerable to a cyber attack the fact is OS-X is remarkably resistant to the type of attacks that render PCs useless.
One of the frequent complaints we hear from those considering a Mac is that it costs more than the equivalent PC. While the initial cost is higher the lower maintenance cost and increased security more than make up for the cost over the life of the computer.
In business
The Mac is compatible with existing networks and now with Parallels™ can run Windows™ and Windows™ software. In short you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain by considering a Mac.
In the home
We frequently encounter PCs that are several years old and have been so badly infested with multiple forms of spyware and viruses that they are unusable. Unfortunately, the time required to completely eradicate these pests is often more than the computer is worth. That leaves only re-installing Windows™ (with possible data loss) or replacing the computer. Several of our customers have chosen the latter path in the last few months and have chosen the iMac. They are extraordinarily pleased with their new computers and have mastered the Mac way of doing things quite smoothly.
